ALI JOY RICHARDSON has provided mental-health consultation and workshops for a number of organizations across Canada:

  • Canadian Association of Theatre Researchers: A mental health workshop for precarious scholars focused on understanding stress and sustainable self-care

  • Theatre Passe Muraille (Toronto): Annual training for patrons services staff in mental health-informed approaches to working with the public (and caring for their own wellbeing in customer service roles)

  • Shakespeare by the Sea (Halifax): Trauma-informed consultation on their production of Hamlet (2022)

  • With Education Arts Canada, she is the script writer and director of One Deep Breath, a quartet of musicals about mental health that has toured to 50,000+ students in Ontario since 2017

NEIL SILCOX has presented nationally and internationally on mental health, creativity, and caring pedagogy:

  • University of South Alabama: Keynote address on creativity in teaching at the 2023 Conference for Teaching and Learning

  • Acadia University: Keynote address on overcoming unseen limitations at the 2023 Teaching & Learning Festival

  • Canadian Association for Theatre Research: Multiple workshops on mental wellness for precarious faculty. 

  • Got Your Back Canada: Pioneered research on mental health and trauma in theatre training, and gave the keynote address at the 2018 Conference for Theatre Educators

  • Canadian Theatre Educators’ Conference (Founder): Programming includes the Virtual Symposium on Online Theatre Education (2020) which brought together over 140 educators from 40 college/university programs across Canada, the USA, the UK, and India
